MBE Components Maintenance

VESCO-NM’s highly experienced technical professionals are specialized in repairing and restoring MBE components. In the field of semiconductors, we understand the need to employ the latest technologies to achieve research and production results; we also understand the cost and time restraints associated with this. Our goal to evaluate your components and asses the work required carefully, and then make a recommendation of repair and restoration versus purchasing new costly components.

Components are cleaned, restored, out-gassed and leak checked in our clean room facility. They are then tested and characterized to meet manufacturer requirements and specifications.

VESCO-NM offers overall repair and maintenance for:

• Effusion Cells – VESCO-NM’s effusion cell 0.040″ Tantalum wire heaters is the best replacement for foil and 0.030′ wire Ta heaters. Our thermocouple smart design provides high temperature stability and reliability.
• Cracker Cells – VESCO-NM’s cracking heaters are made from 0.040″ tantalum wire and are very reliable and can be used for different materials and gases.
• RF Plasma Sources – VESCO-NM RF coils provide high efficiency power matching and plasma stability and uniformity. No brazing between plasma chamber and gas injection tube, which means easy and cost effective maintenance.
• Substrate Manipulators – VESCO-NM sample manipulator heaters are designed and manufactured for high reliability and long lifetime. Our substrate heaters are robust and operate under harsh growth environments in terms of gases use and vacuum levels. We use different materials suitable for specific applications. Our substrate manipulator heaters are compatible with all MVE systems and for any custom design specifications.
